First message

Hello world!
This is my first post, and I give you a little description of myself.

I'm italian aerospace engineer and I'm in UK to do a PhD at Cranfield University.

I really do love Sci-Fi (books, movies, whatever) and Fantasy, but I love also ancient hystory (especially the Roman Empire).

Let's start now!

I'm also at Cranfield, but my web log is more negative...however I expect my commentary to change over time.

I hope your commentary will change over time...anyway I had some of the frustrations you list in your blog. The main is latex support. I was luck since when I started a friend of mine teached me about latex.
Feel free to contact me at .
I'm not sure I can help you,but I can try!

Thanks for your offer of help. I have had to learn the hard way, alone. Nearly everyone I meet has never heard of (la)tex. In case you are not aware, there is a usenet group for tex (and latex). Go to google groups and search to view it.

The hard way is hard, but you can be certain that you'll never forget what you have learned in this way. Thanks for the suggestion of google groups.

By the way, a friend of mine did her PhD thesis at Cranfield University in latex, and she gave me the files that she used. She developed a style (.sty) with all the formatting rules set. I'm using it and it seems to work.

If you want I can give you the files.

I would appreciate to receive the latex files; please send to inpost at gmail full stop com.

It was my intention to create some template files and then publish in the internet for other students in the future.

If your friend is happy for me to acknowledge her as originator of any files I distribute, let me know.

I recently had a look at the thesis regulations and so far have made some basic structures such as adjusting the geometry package.
